Gidday! I am Christine Abela. I live in Timaru, New Zealand.
Since completing a university computing degree way back in the early 1980’s, when women just didn’t DO that sort of thing, I have worked in several large businesses, as a programmer and analyst.
In more recent years, I became a freelance web designer, mainly working on sites for people who have small craft-related businesses. I have also spent a lot of time helping people work ON their businesses, not just IN their businesses, to ensure they are selling the right product, in the right place, at the right price.
I have been able to draw on my experience in running my own online quilting supplies business, Gecko Gully, to assist these clients to set up and successfully run their online stores.
I love to chat, am a keen gardener and hand-sewer, and enjoy working from home because of the contact this gives me with my family. Oh, and I also work some VERY strange hours, due to insomnia, but try to have Sundays off to go to church and catch up with the ironing (yuck).
