Did you know that around 75% of all WordPress sites are easy to hack?  This is usually because whoever set up the site didn’t understand the tweaks that are required to strengthen WordPress.  Please see our famous WordPress Hack Prevention Checklist for a list of what these tweaks are, if you want to do this yourself.

If you have set up your WordPress site yourself using the standard settings, there is a very good chance your site falls into that 75% of hackable sites.  Even “experienced” WordPress professionals still make basic mistakes, which can leave a site vulnerable.

So what can you do about this?  You (or your web site builder) can work through that checklist and secure the site yourself if you like.  Or, we can do it for you.  Here’s how that works.

The cost is $AU500. Prices on this page are in $Australian – please enquire if you want a quote in another currency, or click here for an estimate – AUD to USD. Once we have your details (via the form below), we will install a backup plugin on your site and do a backup. This means that if something goes wrong, we can get back to that point.

Next, we will install a few more plugins to both analyse and secure the site.  These all need tweaking and configuring, so we will do all the tweaks and configurey stuff.

Depending on how your hosting is set up, there might be some of the things on the checklist that we won’t be able to do, but we will do as many as we can.  If you want it, we can give you a full list of everything we did – but it is pretty technical, so most people don’t want it.

When we are finished, we will do another backup, so that if something goes wrong you can get back to this point.

Then it will be up to you to monitor it.  We will provide you with written instructions on how you can do this.

We also give you a 30-day warranty on our work – if your site does get hacked in the next 30 days, we will fix your site for free AND refund your hack-prevention payment.  (But this has never happened!!)

[standoutbox fx=”johnson”]If you prefer, once we have your site hack-proofed, we can monitor it for you, for $AU50 a month.  This will involve us adding your site to our monitoring software, so we can see if it goes offline, and can jump in and check if that is due to a hack.   We will also, once a month, run a scan to check for weaknesses in the security.  The backup software we installed can be left on your site, and do regular backups (to your Dropbox if you like) so there will be a backup we can restore to if there is a problem.

In addition, if your site does get hacked during the time you are on our hack prevention maintenance plan, we will fix your site for free.  (But this has never happened!!)

There is no sign up page for the maintenance plan, as it is only available to those for whom we have done the hackproofing service.  Payment will be via PayPal subscription.
